Course overview:  

The APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program is recognized worldwide as the standard in production and inventory control, a critical function within an organization for reducing costs and achieving a competitive edge. The CPIM designation is earned by successfully completing two exams demonstrating competency in production and inventory management.
Through the CPIM preparation and exam process, you will gain knowledge, learn skills and best practices required to execute, control and improve internal operations within the four walls  of your company.
The full CPIM Programme is split into two parts. CPIM Part 1 is a 4-day programme and covers the first module: Basics of Supply Chain Management. CPIM Part 2 is an 8-day programme and covers the next 4 modules which are: Strategic Management of Resources (SMR); Master Planning of Resources (MPR); Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP); and Execution and Control of Operations (ECO).

    The APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) programme focusses on an organisation’s internal operations taking an in-depth look at the production and inventory activities within the internal operations of a company providing a comprehensive view of materials management, master scheduling, forecasting, production planning and much more. To date, over 100,000+ professionals are CPIM certified.

    To earn the APICS CPIM designation, operations management professionals must successfully pass the CPIM Part 1 and Part 2 exams. However CPIM part 1 and part 2 can be taken in isolation if the full APICS CPIM designation is not required.
