Course overview: 

Recognised as the worldwide standard in production and inventory management, the APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) programme is the perfect way to improve and demonstrate your skill and knowledge.
The APICS CPIM is completed over two exams. The first of which will focus on the basics of supply chain management. Production & Inventory Management Part 2 covers a selection of topics including strategic management of resources, and execution and control of operations. Jointly, the preparation for and exam process of the Production & Inventory Management certification will develop your knowledge and teach you the skills necessary to better control and execute internal operations.

Production and inventory management are fundamental to gaining a competitive edge and through CPIM you will learn the skills needed to achieve this advantage. Starting with CPIM part 1, a four-day programme, you will complete the first module – Basics of Supply Chain Management. Production and Inventory Management part 2 is an eight-day programme. Part two covers the next 4 modules in the certification; Strategic Management of Resources (SMR); Master Planning of Resources (MPR); Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP); and Execution and Control of Operations (ECO).
