Geoff Dale
Director – SMMT Industry Forum

Geoff began his early career as a production engineering apprentice sponsored by GEC, leaving in the late 70’s to join Magneti Marelli as a production manager.

He spent 13 years in various roles within the Magneti Marelli organisation both in manufacturing, quality and also in general management in the UK and overseas.

In 1990 he joined the Volkswagen Group where he was Supplier Development Manager within UK Group purchasing, providing support for suppliers selected from the global sourcing decisions.

In 1996 he was seconded to SMMT Industry Forum in its start-up phase. In 2000 he joined SMMT Industry Forum as a Director.
