The
SMMT Industry Forum is headed by Chief Executive Graham
Broome, who has extensive experience at senior levels
in the automotive industry, notably in a major vehicle
manufacturer and a first tier global supplier.
Graham has assembled around him a highly experienced
team of individuals who can address the range of issues encountered
by Industry Forum's customers, who are pursuing the goal of
achieving global competitiveness in the automotive industry.
In line with the ever changing demands of our
industry the management team is supplemented by the skills
of a network of private and public sector figures who can
bring a wealth of experience and also deploy particular disciplines
to the task of addressing the challenge facing the automotive
industry in the United Kingdom.
Geoff began his early career as a production
engineering apprentice sponsored by GEC, leaving in the
late 70’s to join Magneti Marelli as a production
manager.
Stefan March began his career in the Aerospace industry
in 1976 as a student apprentice with Lucas.

Development Keith Jordan began his career in the automotive
industry in 1970 after graduating in Modern Languages.

Industry Forum
After a year as a research fellow at the Science Studies
Unit at Edinburgh University Iain Cameron joined the
Department of Industry as an Administrative Trainee
in 1975.

Wanaka Executive
Co-ordinator Koji Wanaka spent 25 years with Honda
Motor as a project leader responsible for marketing and
administration.

Smith B.Eng
(hons) C.Eng. M.I.Mech.E. After graduating from Manchester Polytechnic
in 1990 with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering
Karl joined British Aerospace at their Civil Aircraft
division’s Chadderton site, in Manchester.
