AutoIndustry News Feed

Whilst not all these so-called “Adaptors” model themselves on the tried and tested automotive Industry Forum it is quite clear that they share the adherence to the Common Approach pioneered by the automotive sector and crucially are industry or sector led.

SMMT Industry Forum has however assisted many of the Adaptors in varying ways, from training the sector engineers employed by the adaptor, providing project management expertise in establishing the sector Industry Forum or by undertaking pilot and demonstrator programmes for them based on MasterClass or Real Time Workshop.

SMMT Industry Forum had worked directly with the Metals Industry Forum (MICE), the Ceramics Industry, the Chemicals & Process Industry (PICME – Process Industry Centre for Manufacturing Excellence), Construction Equipment Association, Construction Industry and the Red Meat Industry Forum.

Fit fr the future A full list of the current Industry Forum Adaptors can be found on the Fit for the Future website.
