Training Services for ISO/TS16949

SMMT Industry Forum offers a wide range of ISO/TS16949 training and implementation support services, both in-house and at open venues. All our training courses use a practical, learn by doing approach, focusing on delivering measurable results, while providing best practice understanding.

We are the only UK based organisation qualified to train certified body auditors in ISO/TS16949:2002.  Now let us train you using the same approach!!!

  Course Name Description
Automotive Core Tools
  1 Day APQP/Control Plan The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, Advanced Quality Planning activities. A basic understanding of APQP would be beneficial but not essential.
  1 Day Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Training Course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, undertaking process FMEA studies.
  1 Day Measurement System Analysis The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, undertaking or auditing of Measurement System Analysis studies. A basic understanding of statistical concepts would be beneficial but not essential.
  1 Day PPAP The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, Advanced Quality Planning activities, including preparation of PPAP packages. A basic understanding of APQP would be beneficial but not essential.
  1 Day Problem Solving Training Course is designed for people involved in problem solving and effective non conformity management related to both Internal and External problems/concerns.
  1 Day Statistical Process Control Training The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, undertaking or auditing of Statistical Process Control studies. A basic understanding of statistical concepts would be beneficial but not essential.
  2 Day Core Tools The Course is designed for delegates who are working in the automotive Supply Chain and need knowledge and experience in automotive Core Tools.
  5 Day Core Tools Training The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in the implementation or auditing of, Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) activities (SPC, MSA, FMEA) including the preparation of PPAP packages. A basic understanding of AQP would be beneficial but not essential.
Integrated Auditor Training
  Integration and Process Auditing Training - ISO/TS16949: 2002 and ISO14001: 2004 The course is designed for delegates with automotive or related experience, with knowledge of the relevant processes used in their organisations. Previous experience with ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001, and some auditing experience, would be beneficial.

2 Day Internal Auditor Training 		The course is designed for delegates with knowledge of the relevant processes used in their organisations. Previous auditing experience would be beneficial but not essential. The course covers planning, undertaking, reporting and closing out internal audits. System, process and product audits are covered. The course includes case studies, audit scenarios and role-play.
  ISO/TS16949: 2002 Lead Auditor Re-Qualification Training for first and second part auditors. For delegates who have attended the five-day Supplier Auditor Certification Course it is strongly recommended that they attend refresher training every three years to be kept up to date with developments and current auditor thinking, and to revalidate competence. The two-day course focuses on the process approach, auditing customer specific requirements and auditing in non-production areas.
  ISO/TS16949: 2002 Lead Auditor Training for first and second party auditors. This 5 day course is designed for delegates who have a working knowledge of quality systems within the automotive sector (eg QS-9000, VDA6.1, EAQF) and previous auditing experience, and ideally involved in the implementation and/or auditing of ISO/TS16949:2002. This course and exam is the supplier version of the official ISO/TS16949 third party auditor certification.
  One Day Refresher The course is designed for delegates who are experienced in undertaking Internal Audits, and who have attended Internal Auditor training related to ISO/TS16949: 2002.
ISO9001:2000 Audit Training
  ISO9001:2000 2 Day Internal Auditor Course utilising the "automotive process approach" Many organisations in the automotive supply chain are not eligible to gain approval against the automotive technical specification ISO/TS16949: 2002 but want to develop, implement and audit a process based management system focused on results.
Introduction to the requirements of ISO/TS16949:2002 The course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the structure of the key requirements of ISO/TS16949: 2002 and the process approach to quality management
ISO/TS16949: 2002 Lead Auditor Re-Qualification Training for first and second part auditors. Core Tools Awareness & Application The course is designed for delegates who are working in the automotive supply chain, and need knowledge and experience in the automotive core tools. This may include Quality Engineers, Design Engineers, Process Engineers and Internal Auditors.
FMEA one day course The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, undertaking or auditing of Design and/or Process FMEA studies.
MSA One day course The course is designed for people involved in, or who plan to be involved in, undertaking or auditing of Measurement System Analysis studies. A basic understanding of statistical concepts would be beneficial but not essential.
Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis. Course is designed for people involved in problem solving and effective non conformity management related to both Internal and External audits as either auditors or auditees.

Implementation Support & Registration Readiness Reviews SMMT Industry Forum can provide an independent service to help companies establish their readiness for ISO/TS16949 by undertaking an initial gap analysis, or readiness review prior to external assessment.
